ERIE, PA – The Erie VNA is participating in a new national program called “We Honor Veterans” that is designed to provide special treatment and care for the nation’s veterans as they enter the final phase of their lives. The V.A. and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization created this program because today in America one out of every four people passing away are veterans.
This special hospice program connects veterans and volunteers and addresses their special needs, circumstances and history so they can be treated with the best care and respect possible.
“As a Veteran myself, I have seen firsthand the powerful effects of this program.” Said Dan Desrochers Director of Development at the Erie VNA “Veterans have done so much for all of us, they deserve special care and respect and the Erie VNA is proud to be affiliated with such a wonderful program.”
Since 1906, the mission of VNA of Erie County is to provide quality, cost effective home health care and hospice services to residents of Erie County,
Regardless of the ability to pay.
